| Outward Appearance | The first thing one would notice about the woman known on the streets as 'Scarlet' is the worn and torn clothing she wears, which reflects her status among the denizens of Bree-town. She is of average height and on the scrawny side compared to a Bree woman, but upon closer inspection, it becomes clear that she is no local of Bree.
Some would even argue that she is not of the race of Men, for her scarred visage bears features that seem remarkably Goblin-like. Scarlet is hideous by most standards, and her usually unkempt appearance and rough attire only seeks to exacerbate this. Even were she given a pretty dress and a proper combing, Scarlet could not by any stretch of the imagination be described as good-looking. There is just something about her which is not quite right for a human. |

Background
In recent days, more and more folk from the South have been seen around the lands of Bree. Foreigners are not an unusual sight, for the town of Bree sits upon important crossroads, but there is a odd air about some among these Southerners. Those who have encountered them say that their features are not wholly those of Men. They resemble Men more than anything else, yet something of their appearance harkens back to imagery of Goblin-kind.
Most of these strangers have been men, but rumours have begun circulating of a woman in Bree-town with such features. In addition to a resemblance to Goblins, this woman bears several prominent scars upon her face and is dressed in ragged clothes, both of which compounds her grotesque appearance.
It is unclear whether this woman has any connection to Goblin-kind or is just a particularly unsightly beggar, though one thing is clear. She is not a local of Bree, and the Men of Bree hold little love for her.
