''Not many know of Mirthven, or have seen her for the past two centuries. She is a long-forgotten individual after her ordeals in Mirkwood. When the spiders first came to her beloved woodlands to the far east, her people rose up to this new threat courageously, though unbeknownst they were at great disadvantage. The children of Shelob had infested the gargantuan woodland labyrinth of Mirkwood almost over night, there was a crimson dawn that following day; as much blood was spilt.

 It is said that Mirthven Othalivas witnesessed her own family being devoured by the monstrous spiders as she was in a back room of her tree-home, and after a long perilous quest to escape the now black and webbed woods of Mirkwood, she had discovered an unexpected salvation, just on the horizon.

Mirthven was visited by the figure of an old man, he revealed himself to be the leader of a powerful order which intended to revolutionize the law and government of Breeland. Morgang; the old man, told her the tale of a person named Annatar the Giftlord, and promised Mirthven much reward should she help him.
