Daffodil Honey Isabella Sandybanks-Ruddyfoot is rather a mouthful, so since she was a little one she has been called Daffney, or 'Daff'. She is the second child and only daughter of Quick Post employee Waldoc Ruddyfoot and housewife Dorabella Sandybanks. She has a twin brother named Wiberic, whom is just minutes older than her.

She grew up near Michel Delving in The Shire and moved to Oldfurlong, where her brother acted as Deputy Mayor for a time. She used to help take care of her cousin Paladric, as he once fell on hard times.

She struck up a friendship with a handsome scholar lad named Isenbert. The lass once had hope that a courtship would come of it as the two became rather close. Unfortunately it was not meant to be. The young lad had wanderlust and wished to travel far and wide. Daffney accepted the decision and the two remained friends, even writing to one another on occasion.

It seems Daffney's friend's wanderlust was contagious, as she too now has tendencies to go on those dreaded 'adventures', though she remains in The Shire, for the most part.
