Dear Diary,

It's been a day already since I left my sister in Bree. I'm now this Forsaken Inn and wondering what's happened to her. Did she alarm the Bree guard...? No, they wouldn't bother. So corrupted they are...

I feel sorry that I left her like this, but I had to. Bree was driving me mad anyway. It was always the same boring old routine... dress up, do your hair, be polite, and act like general nobility.

That moment seemed to terrifyingly unrealistic to her now, as she swayed, glued on the spot, her eyes refusing to register the sight before her, and her mind absolutely in chaos, confusion, and disarray.

Gone. All gone.

The cloud of black was lifted from her eyes as she groaned and rubbed her forehead, a terrible headache pumping pain into her skull as she remembered what had happened last night. She had been out drinking with a woman called "Sefa", and after spotting her sister, persuaded her to join the fun until they all had enough.

"Will she live, sir?" A voice rang up distantly in the darkness of Carlotta's black dreams. It's echo was akin to that of a sound made in a tunnel.
"Ye, bu' I doub' she gonna recover from 'er breathin' problems. She gonna 'ave ter chew on some o' them 'erbs all the time. S'bad luck tha' i' star'ed rainin'. Infec'ed 'er lungs, tha', as'f there's worse."
