A Response

She is not to be touched or harmed more than is necessary to be made tractable. She will be taken north as soon as is practicable, and so will any of your people who behaved inappropriately. She is the property of the Iron Crown, and we expect you to treat her accordingly.

Encourage her to think that cooperation will save her, though we do not think it will give anything. Women of this sort can be quite stubborn. Do not try harsher tacks - that is for us to decide, not you. We will have everything we want from her, one way or another, if there is anything she can give us.

A Letter to the Iron Crown

Story

To our friends in the north,

As requested, we have had our men watching Cirith Nur from the south. Today, we found a youngish woman in the river. She had apparently misjudged the current and was swept along. When captured, she was bought to the camp by Archet.

Darkish blonde hair. Reasonably curvaceous. Tried to struggle, but gave up fairly rapidly after we stripped her of her dress and threw her in a cage. Sounds a bit like one of those elves out of the east, sometimes.

"Yiannic and Maegorael fought the neverending swarms of dead armoured servants, but Nareloth stood in the middle of the hall and stared at the huge door located at its end. And as he felt the terrible heat devouring him, he slowly realized coming inside with such a small force was not a good idea. -We need to get out of here. Now.-"

"Garethred Nareloth, Yiannic Hummerhand and Maegorael Elanstil breached the gate and fought their way deep into Carn Dum. Upon reaching what was supposed to be the main hall they were acquainted with a force they have not seen before. For these spirits wore armour and fought with greater skill than any of the spoiled men."

"Upon vanishing in the depths of Imlad Balchorth, Nareloth lead multiple brawls with the ethereal souls of long dead heroes, kings and captains, all masterminded by the Witch-King's unimaginable power. Nareloth fought his way deep to the sickly dangerous pools, where he eventually found what he was looking for.

"Down the path back through Urugarth, Nareloth faced petty challenge, for the arachnoids and Morovals knew little about the seriousness of the presence of their nemesis, who walked the road with ease and motivation. He stood at the foot of the hill, when a terrifying roar echoed from the pass already behind him.

"Nareloth fought his way far through Urugarth, slaying numerous servants of Witch-King, the ruler of Angmar and Lord of the Nazgul. Upon reaching the gate itself and discovering it locked and barred from the inside, he was overtaken by a force he had not expected. For Doldagnir, the fearsome wraith and a pertinacious servant of the Iron Crown, heard the calls of the now twice-fallen Cargul who's souls were aimlessly wandering around the appalling fortress.

A journey in the cold

17 April, Twentytsix years after my coming to Carn Dûm.
Angmar Highland

We left the great halls of Carn Dûm this morning. A cold morning breeze brewed and the sun shined without warmth. But I was determined to heed my summon, and I set out on my journey in good spirit.
