the red company

Prithbo and I were sitting in our room after venturing into chetwood for information about wargs. It was still the room which we rented before with a window on the wall, between the two beds. There were still cracks in the wall. Prithbo took seat on a chair in a dark corner of the room.

~~Here we are standing now. It was a next meeting of the Red Company and we were just south of the traders gate in Bree, by the boar fountain and the Mess hall. As usually, we stood in a row and we all gave Adilyr a fierce salute. “Greetings kinsmen…” he said. “Let us go inside.” He turned and entered the Mess Hall. I suppose that he we to bespeak some things inside, and by that, I entered like my kin.

Today, I sat on my dear horse Stormwind. I rode through the alleys of Bree and I had for today one destination: The Prancing Pony. Not to drink an ale, or to listen to the bards, or to warm me up by the fire-place. There was an arrangement to meet on the courtyard before the Prancing Pony Inn. Several people were going to come. Yeah, this was nothing else as a real meeting of The Red Company!

The night was short. I had a long day yesterday and it was late when we decided to sleep. Prithbo and I were not disturbed that night by brigands. Who would come in the middle of the night to a brigand campfire if there's nothing to worry about?
