Addiel turns to see a handsome man sleeping oh so handsomely, the weight of the world in turmoil suspended for this one sweet moment, illuminated by the gentle flicker of the hearth's warm glow. 

"What frightful things you must have seen...in the cold reaches of the north," she whispers to the slumbering man, "but none of it I see in the face you bare to me now...".
