The night is dark, a coldness sets in and two maidens can be seen to be camping atop a tall hill, amongst ancient and crumbling ruins.

Vardarianna blinks at the man standing before her. At first in the darkness, she can barely make him out. Then he steps closer, walking into the light of the fire.

'Father!' Vardarianna shouts, jumping up from her makeshift bed.

My palms sweated as I blocked an incoming spear hurl, jumping as the Elf before me attempted to bring me off my feet by swinging the blunt end of her spear at my knees. I moved sideways, feinting a sword slash and elbowing the Elf before me, before she groaned in pain and fell to the ground...

 It was with a heavy heart that Lisca regarded the formidable structure in front of her. It was a bridge, the Last Bridge in fact, its span arching into the distance across the River Mitheithel. She knew that much from her map; but that was, truth be told, nearly the extent of her knowledge of the region beyond. The Trollshaws they were called and judging by the fleeing hunter that run past her in the opposite direction, the name was not an exaggeration.

She is studying the arts of healing, she is also a keen musician. I am very proud of her. She was born in Imladris, where I have taken residence for many a year, whilst my husband travels.
