The beating sun offered little mercy, even when hiding in the tall reed ridges lining the river shore. With its hot and dry climate unlike anything she ever experienced in the north of Middle Earth, Earcalie skulked among the reeds muttering against Arien who must have been in a particularly angry mood that day. Still, she swallowed her complaints and marched on.

I wonder what twilight was like before the sun and moon. Would the clouds be visible? The winds that blow them away revealing Ithil in full brightness here in Evendim can hardly be matched in beauty, and I cannot fathom living without their sight.
