Rohirrim and Imladris (from the point of view of Imladris)
Word had reached Imladris that a company of Rohirrim horsemen accompanied by a party of camp followers had crossed from Ost Guruth into the Trollshaws. They were now encamped at Thorenhad with the intent to carry on westward. It was not known if an agreement was met with the scouts at Thorenhad or whether they took it by force. Lord Imieran was speaking with some of the others of the Warband after being briefed by the Council of Lord Elrond about their concerns. Lady Elisbeth Starfire believed it best that for now they make the most of having menfolk in their ranks as these might seem more trustworthy to the outsiders than having elves keep an eye on them. Lord Elrond’s council had made it clear that as long as these riders camp in peace Imladris would welcome them, the task for now was to ascertain the motives behind their travel.
Just as the Lady Starfire was about to dispatch news to the rangers of her warband they were approached by the Lord of House Vanimar, Lord Anglachelm and some others of his house. They had heard the news and were not happy about the approach of the armed force to Imladris. After some discussion it was agreed to send some elves as emissaries of Imladris to seek the news the Council was after.
