Background

Minas Tirith (Sindarin 'Tower of the Guard') was a city of Gondor, originally called Minas Anor. From T.A. 1640 onwards it was the capital of the South-kingdom and the seat of its Kings and ruling Stewards.

It is there that a force of Gondorians was garrisoned, and it was from there that Steaduil was dispatched with a company of his own men to patrol the Great West Road through Rohan, gathering what news they may in doing so. The company was waylaid by Uruks in their attempt to cross the Fords of Isen, and those that weren't cut down fled eastward, while Steaduil fled westward, separated from the company. With Rohan and Gondor out of his reach, the realm of Bree-land seemed the only option. After weeks of sleeping in ditches, Steaduil came at last upon Bree. The lesser men there were not so lesser as he had thought, and the dim flickering of his hope had been rekindled with purpose: he would replenish his company and return to Gondor in its hour of great need.

Guard of Minas Tirith is a rank 10 Gondorian military RP kinship currently based out of Bree-land for lack of Gondorian content in-game.  We understand that Gondorian roleplay is a somewhat obscure niche, and one that has in the past (with the decline of Knights of Gondor) been unlooked for.  As such, we very easily open our ranks to those Men who do not hail from the South-kingdom, with valid RP pretexts being referenced above in our backstory (sellswords, recruits etc).  Moreover, we attempt to blend the two main types of roleplay in an effort to appeal to a wider audience - that is, that we engage in Prancing Pony-esque tavern (read: kin hall) roleplay, and we engage in D&D type adventure roleplay that has us venture out in Eradior and maintain a persistent story of our doings.  An example of how this would blend would be if I made up a RP pretext such as the mayor of Bree beseeching soldiers to harry an encampment of Orcs in northern Bree.  We would meet up in the kin hall, spend a deal of time on cartography, lore, food and drink, then at last ride out and engage ourselves in whatever quest we have taken up.

Additional information: we're a rather active kinship, having no less than 5 members on at a time besides the very late night. At peak we normally have over ten, and we always seek for this number to grow.
