Idhrenneth

Well learned in the lore of the land as well as its workings, Idhrenneth was the most intelligent of the five. She was no fighter, though her skill with bow was quite well-honed, she usually shot elk rather than Orc.

One of the scholars of Tinnudir, Idhrenneth has long studied the histories of her people. She does not possess any mighty blades or shields, though she has many tomes and artifacts from times long gone.

Not only did she know of the lore of the land, but also what lived and grew within it. She was known for her knowledge of the various herbs and plants that grew throughout Eriador, specializing in those that are found around Lake Evendim.

Though Idhrenneth knew much of herbs and could brew up various salves, Idhrenneth was no healer, but her skills as one was often beneficial to the Guardians. During her earlier days as a Warden, her duty was to record that which may be lost forever. But her studies of lore had given her another skill, one much more beneficial to the Guardians.

For studying the battles of her ancestors had given her considerable knowledge in the ways of warfare. She was not much of a warrior herself, although she is able to adequately defend herself with bow and dagger. But her ability to plan and set traps for her enemies was exceptional, and many of the victories of the Guardians are credited to her, even though she did not always participate in the action.

She was not the most joyous or cheery of the five, and could be dark at times. Nevertheless, she spoke very often, usually around their table in Tinnudir Keep. She loved to talk, whether to spin tales or to recount histories or simply small, insignificant chatter. She talked much about what she knew, willingly sharing her knowledge with the others. She taught much to the group; it was from her that Ran learned many battle strategies.

But even though she did not fight as much as the others, danger eventually found her. During one of the key struggles in Annuminas, the Guardians were ambushed. Without Danglir's shield to ward them, they were forced to fend for themselves. Most of them made it out with minor injuries, but Idhrenneth was hit in the leg and throat by crossbow bolts.

She did not live to make it back to Tinnudir. Idhrenneth was given a proper funeral in the style of her kin and laid to rest. Alas, there were now two empty seats, at the table in Tinnudir Keep.
