Taking Aellewenn
Things began to become bleak, and it seemed that the world around them had forgotten them. The Indignation members found their alliance with the House of Estellin was becoming useless, so on Harlyn's command, the three girls, Harlyn, Zurich, and Annsuel, awaited for Firam to lead her to them in a house filled of cats. Then, they took the Lady to a place in Staddle, holding her in the basement of a house. Although Ann could not see what Harlyn had been doing while guarding the door, when she returned to the main room, she saw the bloodied and bruised noble tied to the post.
Aellewenn's people came with Levarris to rescue Aellewenn from the Indignation. Annsuel had been prepared to fight anyone, but when she saw her list of 'enemies' included someone so dear to her heart, Annsuel found a struggle between him and Indignation. In the end, she assisted Harlyn by knocking out a guard of Aellewenn and a young girl, causing neither anymore harm other than a blow to the head. As for Aellewenn herself, Annsuel tried to direct her eyes away from the noble as she followed Harlyn out the door back to Bree, Zurich in tow. The only injury of the three girls was where Levarris had kicked Zurich.
Annsuel was relieved Levarris had recgonised her. If he had attacked, she was not sure she could fight back. And to reveal herself to him in front of Zurich would raise suspicions. Annsuel did not want to reveal that secret. Though fear still gripped her heart when Harlyn spoke about him, saying that he was "as good as dead." And when he told her later in the night "I will not fall without taking them down with me." How could she ever let Indignation harm him? How could she ever let him harm her friends?
At least this time no one was killed. At least this time they were able to make their point and get away without harm. At least Indignation was successful.
