I feel drawn back to Breeland, as it is the perfect place to recruit for my force opposing Lady Hughes.  This time, I was out in search of a vigilante.

I was out in Search of the Black Viper.

And he wasn't hard to find, if you know where to look.

So I went straight to the Prancing Pony and found him standing near the fire with his ally, Harlyn.

Zurich cannot write nor speak elegantly enough to capture her thoughts, though she spends much of her time reflecting; over what some may find stressful to recall, Zurich finds comfort in remembering any joyful times with those she may have once claimed to love.

 

Everyone speaks to me saying that they wish I was how I used to be; those who don't develop a brand idea that they can fix me by breaking me to a point of fighting back. The only two who's support has worked, I personally feel, is my mentor Blince and my mate Bouddycca.

The marks upon Addiel's wrist have just begun to fade. The wire had not cut deep; her struggles against her bonds during that time had been minimal. Perhaps, she thought, because she had allowed it to happen, and that the physical bindings bore no significance to the struggles within her mind and heart.

From fear comes hatred.  From Annsuel's fears, a hatred of Lord Gerwolf grew.  Though it did not help that his attitude commonly reminded Annsuel of her father.  Which only fueled her hatred for the man.  Although she had met him three or four times, she still feared him.  She still hated him.

Underestimation is the biggest flaw men have while facing their enemies.  Lord Gerwolf underestimated Indignation.  There was strength in them yet.  You push, they push back harder.  You snarl, they will bite.  You glare, they will make you never even look at them again.  There is power in men when they have passion.  When they have a reason.

Lord Amnis and Lady Aellewenn were summoned to Thaladuin.  Annsuel rushed to Harlyn to tell her, El and Firam were with her.  Harlyn did not wait, she and the three of them set out to the Thaladuin estate, where they were greeted at the door by Ivlathdur, Lord Gerwolf, and Lord Amnis. Well, greeted was the nicest way to put things.

As Annsuel tended to the wounds on her arm, the memory of the long, tiring day filled her head.  It started with a new friend, someone new she could trust.  Although he didn't tell her is true name, and continued with the alias of Ghost, Ann decided she could trust him.  She told him of her involvement of Indignation  and why.  He actually seemed to understand the why.  Though Annsuel showed him the roofs, a nice spot to sit and talk without eavesdroppers.

Things began to become bleak, and it seemed that the world around them had forgotten them.  The Indignation members found their alliance with the House of Estellin was becoming useless, so on Harlyn's command, the three girls, Harlyn, Zurich, and Annsuel, awaited for Firam to lead her to them in a house filled of cats.  Then, they took the Lady to a place in Staddle, holding her in the basement of a house.

Despite the threats, the deaths, the possible torture, when a person sees a goal, they strive to reach it.  When a person knows what needs to be done, they accomplish it.  Those who see the rights and the wrongs, those who work to fix the world the way the world should be.  To rid of the men who remove the possibilities for those beneath them.  To rise up and face death so that those around them can see the warmth and comfort that they had not seen before.
