Diary,
The raid went nigh perfectly, save an arrow to my calf. We met in the Dawn Hall, where I briefed my team on what we'd be doing. Coming with me was Basaran, Tal, Eroforth, Skelcar, The Blackspear, and Dristin. I explained the plan, then we rode round the marshes into Chetwood, avoiding the bulk of the Blackwolds. We left our horses at an abandoned camp and walked to the target.
Taala and Dristin went round to the left with their bows, while I led Ero and Skel round to the right. On my signal, Basaran and the Blackspear charged up tot he gate, attracting attention to themselves. The blocked off the gate, getting the blackwolds to charge down at them. This led to Tal and Drisitin having a clear path, and they moved in, taking out the archers on the platform further up the hill in the camp. When enough of the brigands were at the gate, my group sprung into action, charging down on their flank.
During the scuffle at the gate, I took the arrow, and dropped to my knees, managing to finish off my already wounded foe. Basaran helped me get to the top of the Platform. Tal and Dristin were already there, they Blackwold captain tied and unconscious. We woke him and begun interrogation. I asked the questions and the Blackspear did the kicking, after all my leg wasn't working right.
The woman, or 'Nighthawk' as she calls herself, had met with the brigands some weeks ago to create a pact. Which is why they helped her when she was being chased by the Watcher. She also left with a strangely dressed archer who had killed some of the blackwolds. From there they went south again to the East-West road.
We debated if we ought to kill him, after all, he had spoken the truth, that was certain. I felt we ought to give him to the Watch in the hope of a bounty. However after much arguing back and forth it was better to kill him. At this point, I was a little frustrated, I had an arrow in my leg and we were still talking. I beheaded him before another word could be said.
We went our separate ways, I went to Bree, and secured a three hundred silver payment for the information from the Watcher I have been working with, Danwick. After that I went home, and got a healer to pull the arrow out my leg and stitch me up before I went to bed.
An a different note, a bounty is on my head. Someone wants me captured, along with Ero. They also want Rin dead. Apparently some man told someone of the dawn he had been hired to do this, but did not want to kill Rin. We can't think what the connection between the three of us is, or why someone would want to do this. We only know we need to be careful.
