Background
Veterans of the Westfold
Hail Eorlingas and Helmingas!
The Veterans of the Westfold is a military Rohirrim Kin, protecting the lands of the Horse-Masters. Incorporating In game Achievments, battles, warbands, Reputation advances and so on, to carry over into your RP within the KIN. It also inspires and motivates lower level Characters to level up, not only for self reward, but also reward for raising in Rank within the Kin.
Higher levels will RP in Rohan, as it is our hometown. The Veterans of the Westfold is the special unit within Helm's Deep that cares for its upkeep and defense, as well as the defense of the Westfold. Hunting Warbands, missions into Dunland, Guarding the Isen, and protecting the people of Rohan. Lower levels that are not yet able to reach Rohan, will be known as the Outriders. playing out a story in the Northlands and across, gaining information and adventuring in the lands beyond Rohan, to return to the Hornburg with news of the world.
Lower level Rp will use Skirmishes and Instances in the RP. Example; The Outriders are camping out at Weathertop. The encampment is attacked. Then they will launch the stand at Amon Sul Skirmish. the skirmish will be set to the average lvl of the group. If you incapacitated once.. when the skirmish is finished, you must RP your character as slightly wounded. IF you are incapacitated twice, you are wounded a good deal. Incapacitated three times or more, and you are severely wounded, and must RP this out when the skirmish is finished. This gives the group more of an initiative to learn how to play together and watch each others backs when in war.
As a character within the Kin, if you prove yourself a mighty warrior in Sparring against other members of the Kin. You will be awarded the position of Reeve, within one of the cities of Rohan, and will RP as a Reeve of (For example) Cliving, Snowbourne, Stoke, etc. and be able to play out your political intrigue within the kin.
Ferthu hal!..

THE RANK SYSTEM OF THE KIN [ ÉOHERE ]
The Ranking system are as follows
Warden: There will be three Wardens (Not the class in lotro) The Warden of the Hornburg, which is held by Taronthor, (The Founder of the Kin). The Warden of Snowbourn, which is Held by Kharal, and the Warden of Harwick (Vacant). These Three Wardens will be the top Three Officers within the Kin. Upon arrival into the Kin, you will pledge allegiance to one of these Wardens. The Warden you choose, will decide your promotion in rank and status within his realm. Though, you will decide which Reeve you wish to fall under. Every Warden has own Éoréd.

Reeve: This title will be given to those who win in Kin sparring competitions. Through their victory, they will be awarded the rule of a city/town within Rohan, and will be able to play out their political intrigue within Kin RP. These Reeves answer to the Warden of the area. (Which will specified later) These competitions will be held once a month, so there will be a way to unseat a Reeve and take the power for your own. Through strength of arms! (This gives another incentive for players to level up, gear up and show off their In-game accomplishments)
Lord: Every Reeve may appoint one Lord to command alongside him. This Rank will be chosen BY the Reeve and BY any whatever means he wishes.

In order to achieve any of these ranks, you must attain Kindred Reputation status with whatever faction you wish to serve in. This may sound like a drag, but it isn't. Just by playing the game and adventuring throughout Rohan, you will achieve this Reputation title. Small acceleration tomes are also sold in skirmish camps, for fairly cheap. Get a hold of a few of those, and you will reach Kindred Rep. fairly fast! This is in place so that players continue playing the game, and by achieving in game rewards, they will be rewarded within the Kin.
Red shield: This rank is given to those who fight under the Warden of the Hornburg, and the Reeves of the West Rohan.
Son of Eorl: This rank is given to those who fight under the Warden of Snowbourne and Harwick and the Reeves of the East Rohan.
The Outriders: This rank is given to the lower level players that have yet to enter Rohan In-game. They are the scouts of Rohan and will Rp as explained above. Upon entry to Rohan, they will then go to the Warden in which they pledged their allegiance to, and will be promoted to one of the above titles.

IN RP, you may revolt against your Warden or Reeve! As this time in Rohan is dark, revolt may occur. This will be played out by the two groups in a sparring match. Both sides must have an even number of characters. The leader of the revolt must match up with the defending leader. The other characters will match up by level. Once that is all done, the revolting characters will all target their match, and at the same time will click SPAR. (If one declines the spar, that means he runs away from the battle and the win will go to the revolter.) If you loose your sparring match, you must lay on the ground, as you are now wounded from the battle. (The severity of the wound will be chosen by the incapacitated player) Whichever side has the most wins, wins the skirmish. If it is a tie, the defending leader has won and keeps his/her lands. If they loose, the leader of the revolt gains the Title of Warden or Reeve and may choose his/her own Lord, and (If the leader of the revolt is a Reeve) his/her Lord will take his/her place as Reeve in the city that he/she hailed from. If a Reeve challenges another Reeve, and wins, He/she may decide whether take control of the town or give its leadership to his/her Lord, in which makes the Lord, now, a Reeve. YES this is a way to become a Warden or Reeve without having the Kindred Reputation of the faction! But beware... Your revolt may be countered by the other Wardens or other Reeves, and they can come and challenge you in the same way, so they can return the prior Warden or Reeve to his/her seat... Or they may not! This gives higher stakes with the political intrigue within the Kin.

FACTIONS OF THE KIN [ ÉORÉDS ]
Hornburg: Grimslade, Grapholt, Woodhurst, Stoke, Aldburg
Snowbourne: Walstow, Garsfeld, Eaworth, Thornhope, Faldham
Harwick: Elthengels, Cliving, Langhold, Forlaw, Scylfig
We will be leaving Hytbold as it is, as some players may not complete it. If at some point we have affirmed that the majority of the Kin has rebuilt it, we will then include Hytobld as a stand alone city, serving whichever Warden the Reeve (Thane of Hytbold) chooses.
