Banishment from Bree

The whole day passed by with Aallan still wandering in his cell.  Soon supper came from Aggie's cooking.  Onion soup with bread.  He went straight away to drinking the soup, while of course complimenting her craft and the beauty most would not see about her.  Silence was constant except for Adalbart and Corrben discussing how to handle the public sentencing.  Minutes passed on end with barely anything to do except make small talk with the lovely woman with a scar.  It was soon time for the announcement, which was why two other guardsmen were ordered to bind Aallan and remove his hood, despite the rogue's insistence he keep it on until they arrived into the town hall.

Once in there, a crowd had already assembled inside.  Adalbart asked those in the way to clear the path to the front, as he, Corrben, Aallan, and the guards holding the shackled thief advanced to the platform.  Most were in chairs in front of the stand, while some others were upstairs looking down at Aallan.  Soon Corrben began his public statement.  In essence, it was how Aallan Scarlet was no longer allowed into Bree or to have any contact, much to the sorrow of his friends, especially Brynleigh.  Soon Corrben asked the thief to say his final goodbyes to those present.  Aallan of course did, starting with his first client Kitowyn.  Then to those upstairs like Kris and Ithelion.  Then it was the scribe Lisaebeth Harrow... if only the two had met in happier circumstances, though what was done was done.  He then sent the Doctor and his life partner (Ithy again) a farewell and good luck in their.. marriage?  It was rather on short notice in Aallan's eyes, regardless of how long those two gondorians admired each other.  He then to Conrob, to which the friendship was thanked for, and with another crack at the blue robe, though it was not in bad taste.  It then finally came to Brynleigh... someone so precious had to be told this.

"Thank you for everything."  He said to her, even seeing tears flow from her eyes.  He of course could not succeed in comforting her on the notion he'd be able to see her again, since setting foot in Bree-Land again was out of the question, or even the letters.

Corrben then dispelled any obvious hope of staying in contact with the thief in red, stating contact or anything even seeming like assistance would not be tolerated by the law.  In addition, he then told him and the others if his friends truly cared for him, he would not be tempted back into town.  It was then time for Adalbart to drag Aallan outside of the town gates.  Noone, not even those dearest to Aallan could even give him one last hug goodbye, due to the watch not wanting him to escape, though seeing how Aallan was shackled on his hands and any attempt to escape would be a death sentence... more protocol in play was to be assumed.

Adalbart ordered the two guards to keep Aallan close as he, Corrbe, Aggie, and a trailing Tholorast marched to the southern bounds of the town.  After a good distance away from the south gate, Adalbart told Aallan to take one final look, as he would not see it again if he valued his life, and the fact his good heart was the only thing keeping him from the gallows. Aggie then provided Aallan with a sack of food to last him a day or two.  The now exiled Aallan was not approved to even have his hood back on, since it apparently symbolized his crimes of banditry against brigands and an act of murder.  Aallan then made his way on foot down the road east.

It was after a long distance into Chetwood South when he chuckled to himself and threw his hood back on, since it was rather connected to his tunic like shirt.  He then made a whistle like old times to his horse.  A good minute passed this time before the familiar steed came trotting out of the brush, making sure to keep distance ever since the disguise ploy before the rogue turned himself in.  He climbed onto his horse, and the two rode east.

"Dufr'll want to know all of this." Aallan thought.
