Coming Home

Having convealesced in Minas Tirith's healing houses after the monumental toll bringing the Umbarim great ships upriver took upon his already weakened state, Cuthanon is finally permitted to return home. The Harlond is busy and bustling and he does lend his hand to a few needed tasks before a ship finally departs down river, but he almost regrets his charity for the weariness that comes over him for the trouble. His ancestral armour having been lost in the siege at Pelargir, a new more generic set is fitted for him a few days after he arrives and though it is lighter he finds it difficult to adjust to so much newness in a world of damage and loss and ruin that surrounds him. It is a bittersweet return, all in all, but at the very least he is more than relieved to find his mother alive and well.
