Often adorned in the robed garments expected of a traveller, Galyndor, a friendly yet serious sort of man stands at an average height with distinguished aged and weather worn features. Background
Galyndor Oakenshade was not always named so. He was born Orlaron, son of Olhandric and was enlisted in his youth as a ranger of Ithilien. Tasked to bear errands and messages between Gondor and the lands far surrounding the dwelling of men, Orlaron made informants, friends and relations, many far and beyond his level of duty.
As the seasons came and passed Orlaron grew tiresome. Weary from strife and relentless taxes laid bare by the indomitable wills of Stewards and kings, Orlaron lay down his name and isolated himself from the duties of a Ranger and made haste into the north.
Unable to abandon reason and joined by those loyal, Orlaron turned west under the mantle of Galyndor (meaning: Song Of The Land) and offered his mind and metal before the people most effected by the neglect of royalty and corrupt governance. To this day, he and those most trusted maintain efforts to protect passage to and from towns and settlements across middle earth, a treacherous task of late under the growing shadow from the east.
| Loves | Warm fires, stories & Butterbur's Vintage Ale |
|---|---|
| Hates | Arrogance, disloyalty and greed. Galyndor has an unforgivable distaste toward crude and uncouth authority. |
| Motivation | Currently: Gathering informants and relations within towns and settlements. |
| Quotes | The sword is a symbol and no more a tool of war than what we make of it... whether sharp or broken, its strength lies in the will of those wielding it. |
