Velspeth stands at a moderate height for an Elf, her stance proud and absolute. A thin decorative circlet rests on her head, whilst a length of braided gold hair falls past her shoulders. Her features are fair but defined, her face symmetrical in shape and white in colour. Her eyes are dark, and demonstrate a wary gaze, which often lingers for many seconds upon a subject.As a young Elf, Velspeth was oft considered alike to the Elf-maiden Nimrodel, and Velspeth has since revered the image of this figure. A serious expression is to be commonly seen on Velspeth's face, but is usually replaced with a broad smile when she speaks. Her voice is quiet, but reckoning in style. Deliberation and thought is anchored behind of her speech and she is mostly diplomatic with her tone but unwavering in motivation. Vespeth prefers to adorn Elven dress-wear, although whilst travelling she will often obscure herself in large and blandly coloured garments which accommodate subtlety and anonymity. |

Velspeth hails from Caras Galadhon, the second daughter of Velorian and Aenwe. Both Velorian and his wife were regarded for their writs of counsel and scholarship, some of which sit now in the library of Elrond and scattered among the other Elven libraries.
She is of the Sindar by common reckoning, her father travelling to Lórien shortly after the arrival of the Sinda Celeborn, although Velspeth's mother is of Noldo descent.
Studying for several yén in Lórien under the tutelage of her father and accompanied by her older sister Vaewen for a time, Velspeth learned to paint and to write and from here she went on to study the lore and history of the lands surrounding Lórien. She has a particularly inquisitive nature, much like her father, but is quieter like her mother and sister.
In the year of the Third Age 2952, Velspeth's parents endeavoured to make passage West, inviting Vaewen and her husband Celdoreth to join them, but instructing Velspeth that her time was not yet, and she must stay upon Middle Earth for a time longer.
Hence, Velspeth set out from Lothlórien, continuing her studies and aiding the company that she has made since.
A quiet, yet analytical Elf, Velspeth will often listen intently to those around her and carefully deliberate before speaking herself. She often spends time alone, reading, writing or painting. Her demeanour is proud making her easily offended and thus, appreciative of tact.
