Crowned with a hair of silver and pale grey eyes, the ellon Thandalagos, or Cendir, as he is more commonly known, projects an aura of kindness and confidence. He is of a graceful, broad-shouldered build, standing at a height of 6'6ft, and delights in dressing sharply as the occasion demands. Rarely is he seen without any sort of circlet to decorate his hair, and rarer still it is to see him in dreary disposition.

And yet, on the occasional occurence that the ellon is indeed by his lonesome, a hint of sorrow seeps through his fatherly façade, hinting at an ages-old wearyness of the world - and one that is quickly masked by a face of joy when discovered.

"Teaching is not just the joy of imparting knowledge, it is the joy of knowing that history and culture will remembered through the years, and turned into tale and song. To teach is to safeguard that culture, and ensure that it will not be forgotten." - Thandalagos

The firstborn son of the Doriathrin poet Sídheldes and her husband, the Falathrim-descended Alagosdir, Thandalagos was born in the early years of the Second Age, when Lindon was young and the fledgling kingdom of Numénor still in it's infancy and ruled under the scepter of Elros Tar-Minyatur, brother of Elrond Halfelven. As a boy, he was noted to have been sharp of mind and keen of books, often sneaking old tomes from his mother's library.

As Thandalagos grew into adulthood, he began to experience dreams with vaguely prophetic meaning, and his parents realized that he had been granted the Gift of Foresight. Seeking to learn more, Thandalagos moved to Eregion upon it's founding, though troubled visions lead him to return to Lindon a hundred years before the sack of Eregion, where he dreamt that he would be welcoming a sister into the world millenia later. After receiving the Epesse Cendir, he and his family subsequently moved to Rivendell, and he and his father joined the Host of the Last Alliance as they marched towards Mordor. Alagosdir was gravely injured in the Battle of Dagorlad and brought back to Rivendell by Cendir, who began to realize that the power of his Foresight had faded over the course of the war.

The Third Age was a relatively quiet period for Cendir, save for a brief trip to investigate the shadow that had fallen over Mirkwood, and he welcomed his sister Sidhirien to the world at the start of the Watchful Peace. Two centuries later, he met, fell in love, and trothed his plight to Hallothel, twin of Díllothel and daughter of his mother's long-time friend Halhebedon. Sadly, their marriage was not to be in Middle-Earth, as Hallothel and Díllothel were slain in the Misty Mountains in T.A. 2462. Blaming his sister for their deaths, Cendir moved to Lindon a year later, where he has dwelt ever since.

In recent times, Cendir has remained yet in Lindon, dwelling at the shores of the Lhûn and working as a scholar and book-binder. It is said that he spends most of his days in the library of Duillond, serving as a teacher for the few Elven children that yet remain. (Feel free to get in touch if you'd like to RP!)
