| Outward Appearance | A graceful, tall Elf of 6'2ft, the Elleth known as Sídhirien stands steadfast and proud, carrying herself with the confidence of an experienced warrior. Indeed, her mannerisms could be considered stiff, formal, and exceedingly polite while in the fabled plate armour, with snow white hair - alluding to Telerin heritage - and pale grey eyes that gleam in moonlight. When encountered on-duty, it is rare to see her without the two-handed blade sheathed on her back.
When not in armour, however, Sídhirien tends to warm up and show a fondness for jaunty ballads if in the presence of music, displaying occasional glimpses of a small, reminiscing smile, and a knack for deadpan humour. |

"I have walked the treacherous passes of the Hithaeglir and explored countless crevices unknown underneath the mountains. I have climbed the peaks many times over in a span that would measure centuries to the minds of mortal men. I do not fear death." - Sídhirien
Sídhirien was born in the Third Age, during the years of the Watchful Peace, and was so named after that time by her mother, Sídheldes, a quiet, but skilled poet who fled Doriath with the remnants of her family after the Kin-slaying at Menegroth. Roughly three centuries later, Sídheldes met Alagosdir, a descendant of the Falathrim who followed Círdan to Lindon after the sinking of Beleriand. After the Battle of Dagorlad, in which Alagosdir was gravely injured, the couple moved to Rivendell with their son Cendir.
Sídhirien's addition to the family came about as a welcome gift, having been conceived during a period free of strife, and the young Elf-maiden grew up with a love of snow and a fondness for battle. Together with her dearest two friends, the twins Díllothel and Hallothel, whom she had befriended as a child, Sídhirien regularly partook in patrols and small-scale skirmishes along the Misty Mountains, until one day, the sisters were both fatally struck down and killed by a returning hunting party from Goblin-town. Her brother Cendir, having been betrothed to Hallothel, left for Lindon in anger, blaming Sídhirien for her death.
In her grief, Sídhirien became distant, and took up the armaments of her slain Sisters-in-arms, determined to honour their memory. Her parents have since moved back to Lindon, though she has opted to follow them westwards.
In recent times, Sídhirien is currently travelling northwards with her ranger companion Thorontir. The two are headed to Lin Giliath in search of an old family heirloom that was recently lost in the swamps of Meluinen. (Feel free to get in touch if you'd like to RP!)
| Friends | |
|---|---|
| Relatives | Most of her clan have decided to move westwards to be closer to the sea - included among them is her brother Thandalagos, known to most as Cendir. At rare times, she may mention being married. |
| Rivals/Enemies | Anything corrupted by the Enemy. |
| Loves | Dutiful service, jaunty and lively ballads, snow and the cold, the Misty mountains. Wine made with methods stemming from her mother's former homeland of Doriath. The constellation Valacirca, the Sickle of the Valar. |
|---|---|
| Hates | The corrupting tendril of the enemy. Pretentious behaviour and unchecked arrogance. Foggy weather that clouds her ability to see, spoiled and rotten cheese, and of course, the wretched Yrch. |
| Motivation | An honourable service, rendered in memory of her slain sisters-at-arms. |
| Quotes | "I live to serve. That is the way I have known for six centuries by the reckoning of mortals." - Sídhirien to her friend, Thorontir. |
