Jasine was born to Bethilda and Marelus Woodbaker. She lost her father when she was barely a year old. Growing up, Jasine and her brother Darienn were hand-in-hand. She knew she could rely on him and learn from him. That was, until their mother grew ill. Everything changed as their mother grew cold to her, treating her like she was an outsider. She begged Darienn to do something about it but he was oblivious to the actions of her mother. He would tell her, "She loves you, she's just very ill." Jasine could take no more of this and left. She was shy at first, as she had always been sheltered from the town. But soon she met a man who seemed dark and mysterious. Intrigued by him, she gave herself over to him. However, she soon learned he was an outlaw. Ashamed and betrayed by her cruel emotions, Jasine decided that love was just simply a game. She scowered the town looking to men to find an inch of happiness in this cruel world.
