Fardinanth Fairworth III is an elderly hobbit of Fallohide ancestry who stands at three feet and seven inches tall in height and he weighs a little over thirteen stone. Fardinanth has light and wrinkled, silvery grey hair, which he often keeps neatly trimmed and combed stylishly. The old hobbit has light blue eyes, which seem to sparkle with a sense of weariness but at the same time friendliness. Fairworth speaks with a posh upper-class accent. (Imagine Gary Wilmot's English accent during his portrayal of Mr. Badger in the 2017 musical "The Wind in the Willows" by Julian Fellowes for an idea of how Fairworth sounds vocally.) Fairworth has a very stoic, grumpy, and proper demeanor, but he is not without a good sense of humour and a large amount of sarcasm.

Background

Fardinanth Fairworth was the eldest child born on August 16th, 2935 in Michel Delving of the Shire into a hobbit family of Fallohide origins. Fardinanth's parents, Fardinanth Fairworth II and Dahlia Fairworth were a hard-working tailors who would design high end, finely-woven clothing, which were popular among wealthy hobbits. A few years after Fardinanth's birth, his parents gave birth to Agilbert Fairworth, and a few years after Agilbert's birth, they gave birth to a daughter, which they named Bluebell Fairworth. The three siblings were very close with each other and very close with their parents. From a young age, Mr. and Mrs. Fairworth taught their children the basics of tailoring, which ignited a passion in the craft within the three children. Growing up Fardinanth was always a clever and quiet boy, but a boy with a heart of gold. Fardinanth was very fond of reading. His parents instilled in him a sense of pride for a job well done and a healthy respect for law and order. Fardinanth was also rather protective of his younger siblings, especially among other hobbit children. If he felt any potential playmate was being to rough with his siblings he would step in and protect them.

As the years went on the family's tailoring business began to dwindle in success. Which prompted the family to move from Michel Delving to West Farthing in an attempt to start over once again and try their proverbial luck in another area. As luck would have it, the family's business caught the eye of an influential country gentleman known as Master Grifo Furryfoot, Esq. Master Furryfoot was a landed gentleman who was quite wealthy and he was also quite fond of finely made hand-tailored clothing. Master Furryfoot would often comission and purchase clothing from the family, which helped bring success to the Fairworth family's business, along with alert their existence to other wealthy hobbits. At this point in time, Fardinanth, Agilbert, and Bluebell were all trained as tailors and they all had inherited the talents of their parents in the craft. Things could not be better.

However, as the years went by business began to slow down once again. It eventually became so bad for their business that they were forced to close their shop down. Mr. and Mrs. Fairworth were forced to find work elsewhere in order to support their family. Grifo Furryfoot took pity on the family and he offered them positions in his household staff of servants in order for them to make ends meet. To which the couple happily agreed. Mrs. Fairworth was employed as a cook among the kitchen staff and Mr. Fairworth was hired as a tenant farmer in the Furryfoot Hall fields. Fardinanth and Agilbert joined their father in the fields and Bluebell joined her mother in the kitchen. During this time Fardinath and Grify and Rose's eldest child, Giso had become acquainted and soon become the best of friends.

Eventually, Fardinanth's coming of age birthday had emerged. As much as he enjoyed his job as a tenant farmer at Furryfoot Hall, he had longed to enlist as a bounder. So after his coming of age party, which was funded by and hosted by Grifo Furryfoot, he had resigned from his job and he had enlisted as a bounder. Fardinanth was a very dedicated member of the bounders and he worked very hard during his numerous years employed by that organization.

As the years went by Fardinanth rose in rank in the bounders, although he maimntained a close relationship with his parents, siblings, and Giso and he would often visit them regularly. His siblings eventually left Furryfoot Hall and his younger brother and younger sister attempted to open a tailoring business themselves with the money they had saved up from working at Furryfoot Hall, however Mr. and Mrs. Fairworth grew quite fond of working for Grifo Furryfoot and his wife Rose Furryfoot, both of whom had become close friends with the Fairworth couple, so they had decided to continue working for that wealthy family until the days they'd eventually pass away of natural causes, all of which happened over the years Fardinanth was serving as a bounder. Fardinanth continued to work as a bounder until when he arrived at the age of fifty-four he sadly sustained a broken leg while on patrol. Fardinanth had gotten into a scuffle with some hooligans who were attempting to loot a bakery during the evening. When Fardinanth tried to stop them, he was ganged up against and beaten up, leaving him with some bruises and a broken leg. Due to his broken leg, he was forced to retire from bounders and Grifo and Rose Furryfoot offered him a position working as a cook until his leg was healed up and he could try to join the bounders again.

Fardinanth's hard work and polite personality impressed the Furryfoot family and staff alike, that Giso would insist to his father to offer him the position of being the family's butler. By this time his leg had healed by Fardinanth enjoyed serving the Furryfoot family as their butler that he decided to stay put. Fardinanth and Giso were nearly inseparable. The two of them did everything together. They'd attend the theatre together, attend musical performances, travel throughout the Shire, and so on and so forth. As the years flew by eventually Grifo and Rose Furryfoot would pass away and leave Giso as the new master of Furryfoot Hall, which gave him a great amount of stress.

Giso went on to marry Honeysuckle Brownburrow and the two of them would go on to have a son, whom they named Theudo Furryfoot. However, due to his new position as a country squire, Giso would manage the family's estate and various properties with the help of his wife constantly. The couple had very little time to spend with their newborn son, so they would often leave in the care of Fardinanth or in the care of other servants. Theudo was a noisy and trouble-making trouble who often would annoy the servants but Fardinanth had a soft spot for the obnoxious but playful child. When Theudo's parents had time for him they taught him to be proud of his family name, ancestors, and heritage. Theudo's mother tended to spoil him by getting him constantly whatever his heart desired, but his father tried to raise Theudo with tough love. Giso and Honeysuckles' different parenting methods started to cause martial issues with the couple. Over the years the fighting among the couple caused Fardinanth great concern for the Furryfoot family. Fardinanth did do his best to help as much as he could with the raising of education of Theudo. Growing up Theudo grew to be rather conceited, due to his mother's spoiling, constant compliments, and being reminded regularly how important his family is, and by how important he is by proxy. Fardinanth would often try to get Theudo to view himself realistically rather than exaggerated. Unfortunately, it was to no avail. As time went on, Giso had begun to try to groom Theudo to become a farmer, as many of their ancestors were, along with teaching Theudo how to run the mansion and oversee all the property that was owned by the Furryfoot family. Sadly, Theudo was both uninterested in learning what his father was attempting to teach, along with being a fairly inept farmer. However, Theudo's mother taught him how to cook, which he proved to be gifted at.
