| Age | Early Twenties |

| Outward Appearance | Samfer is of average height for his age, with a lean build that reflects years of running errands. His hair is straw-blonde, usually a bit tousled from the wind, and his blue eyes are expressive with curiosity and perfectly reflect his bright personality. His fair skin is dotted with sunspots and freckles, giving his face a gentle, open look. He has an easy smile that matches his kind and honest nature.
Samfer is often seen with a satchel hanging from his shoulder, which carries the regular missives and parcels he delivers around Bree-Land. But nothing marks him out more than his signature cap, with its green band, that many know to have once belonged to his Father. |

Background
Samfer (or Sammy as most adopt) is well known around town as one who, from the tender age of eight, took to becoming a runner; one who would pass messages between people, and being young, he was likely unaware of what exactly he was carrying. It was only as he grew older that he began to understand the folly of it, and no doubt this was aided by his Mother, scraping what spare coins she could (along with the little coins he earned), aiding in his learning his letters. Now that he could read and write, Samfer branched into becoming a Courier. And every day, he would wait at his particular spot, waiting for people to bring their letters and packages to be delivered.
Samfer was an only child and had quite a modest upbringing, though no less happy. His Father was a roofer, a hard-working, honourable man, and his Mother a seamstress. Samfer grew up idolising his Father, and loved watching him work. But, when he was Eight years old, his Father took ill, from what Samfer could ever only remember as being a fever, which, sadly, his Father never recovered from. Following his father's passing, Samfer took it upon himself to become the head of the household and started to work in order to support his Mother.
Now in his early twenties, Samfer is himself, a hard-working young man. He is sensitive, easy-going, kind-hearted, and loyal, though he can have the tendency to be a bit naive. However, it can also be said that he is highly ambitious, and one example of this is his current plan to open Bree's own Mail house. He enjoys country sports and the simple rhythm of town life. He likes listening to travellers at the Pony talk about roads and places beyond Bree, even though he has not been anywhere himself. One day, maybe!
