Ethuilon,

Of course you've bloody left Rivendell. Trust a Mirkwood elf never to stay in the same place for long. I always wondered how your folk could stand all that moving around. I reckon it's a bit like your Noldor cousins feeling the call to the West, except for you lot it's more like "the call to be an incorrigible pain in the arse at every possible opportunity".

The dwarves are afraid of the sea, and some of the Eldar avoid the shore.

They fear the desire that awakens once the calls of the seagulls are heard.

But there are some who are not afraid of Belegaer.

Díllothwen insisted on her husband writing something down...not only would it help him remember how to write (considering he does not do so often), his inner thinking might be able to be understood. Undómion never thought of the purpose as to why his wife persisted, but he complied.

 

A recent work translated into Westron it read as thus:
