Augir watched the whole scene unfold. First Thrandili was back in Kandral's arms, then as fast as the blink of an eye, she stormed back up the stairs. A few words not to her liking and she turned into a thundercloud. 

Byl walked slowly back to the Uzbad's house. His shoulders slumped. He knew his duty and honour were at stake.
Byli, it seemed, had shirked his responsibility and run off.

Augir was gobbling up his second bowl of stew when Buhni came back to the kitchen. Hanfrere was busy handing out her stew, but Augir felt out of place. He wanted to help, but with what? He was no healer and he didn't exactly know what all the raised voices were about. He saw Thrandili in tears and knew it had something to do with Byli. When Buhni asked him to find Byl, he quickly finished his dinner and with a ”Of course!

Healer Broiner first flayed open a vein on Kandral's arm and collected the blood in a special cup cleaned and sterilized especially for the procedure. Then he carefully mixed in the three ingredients stirring continually so the mixture melded into a smooth liquid.

Rogvier entered the emporium. As he did he was assailed by all manner of scents and aromas. The smells of all the spices, soaps, and beard oils, mingling together into a potent but not unpleasant smell that hung heavy in the lungs. The dim lighting of the shop shone on all manner of mechanic all wrapped in fashionable packages and arranged carefully.

Her father was still shouting downstairs. Thrandi hurried round her room, throwing clothes, beard clasps, jewellery and hair bands into a leather satchel. She must be ready for whatever small chance she got to leave this house and find Byli!
