First to Strike

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

To Rûndis, my Moonlight,

I am sorry for not writing to you sooner. These last few weeks I have barely had enough time to rest, and most of that time has been spent trying to keep Kharsi from eating all our supplies. So, here is a quick update.

On the Eglain - Sorrowful wanderers in strange lands

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

I now have spent enough time in Bree-land’s reaches to know that I am truly, properly settled for this moment - how strange it be, then, that my errands should be taking me further and further afield!  It was my assumption when I first came here that Bree, assailed as it is by foes both secret and known, would demand my undivided aid, that my blade would be needed even within the city walls near-constantly.

Regarding the Men of Bree and their Manner

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Diary

I have now been in Bree-land long enough to form some fair and settled opinions regarding the folk of these parts.  I have previously scribed some impressions of the Hobbit-people, strange and new as they were to me, but have been in no especial hurry to likewise record my observations of the Men (the “Big Folk”, as hobbits oft refer to us) that live around and alongside them.

Welcome Back My Innocence

Story

As the boys played in the front yard, Eira watched from the steps. The leaves were nearly all fallen from the trees, covering the ground. The autumn chill caused her to pull her scarf over her face, shivering. She looked down to her swollen stomach and asked...

"Are you two cold?"

To the Postmaster

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

My dear Isulril,

I hope I may call you that, as someone who has longed to be a friend to you for many years. I know that we have not always agreed on many--most--things, but I hope that you will set this aside for what I am about to tell you. Your father is ill. Indeed, he is doing very poorly now, and has requested your presence at his bedside. He has asked me to make such a missive, because he finds himself unable to do so, due to the nature of his ailment.

Private Thoughts Among the Ruins

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Isulril reclined across the soft grass that stuck through the cracks of the old ruin above the town of Bree. She looked up at the daytime sky, smiling faintly. Indeed, her mood was like the sky itself. Sometimes sunny with fluffy white clouds flitting about as now, but sometimes the clouds obscured the sun, or the sun was gone altogether and one might scarce see a star. It was not something she enjoyed, but it was, she knew, something that those closest to her knew was her flaw. Her main flaw, perhaps, these mood swings.
