Songburrow

Dema had traveled from Breeland to the Shire as fast as her little pony could take her. She had been given a letter to deliver to the Gatekeeper at Brightdown village and a second letter that was to be taken to an address in Songburrow. The distance did not bother Dema she enjoyed her travels and it was good to have something to keep her occupied.

The majority of the dusting had been completed and already at least three families of mice had been removed from the Great Smials Library when Flory finally sat down for a cup of tea and slice of cake. All around her stacks of books lay in disorganized piles and orderly stacks. Flory was only now seeing the full extent of the job ahead of her. Even after the shelves had been cleaned she would then have to go through all the books and put them in some sort of order so that she knew precisely how many books there were.

Dear Mother and Father,

Since a lot of burrows in Songburrow have new owners, the Grand Order of the Lost Mathom decided it would be nice to visit everyone who wanted to show off their burrows. So they organised a Burrow Crawl. It started out at the Grand Order's grand house, which is right next door to mine. Very handy for these sorts of things! I just had to walk across the garden and into the Grand Order's one to arrive! Lina was there with a few others and we had a quick cup of tea while waiting for everyone to arrive.
