Gap of Rohan

Journal entry page # 152 - You cant sleep when your bed is burning

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Where shall I begin to write this eventful day. The morning would be a good place to start. I found Tidhelm and Wulfreda up and ready in the fortified camp of the Rohirrim. It was there when I saw Melowen walking towards me. The young girl has followed us all the way here! I was happy to see her, she has great skill with blades and a strange eagerness to fight. I saw Tidhelm discussing with the captains about some strategy. A strategic hillpoint at the heathfells has been under attack all night by Dunlendings.

Diary

As I am sitting here in a camp full of riders and soldiers bearing signs of the Mark, it feels as if I am back in Rohan. But this ground is not part of Rohan, and we are surrounded by enemy forces. I have seen the massive Dunlending army of gathered tribes. It is a force that could overrun this camp with ease. Looking around I see some soldiers  wounded lying on bed rolls. The men look tired and demoralized. The constant attacks of the Dunlendings are wearing them out it seems. I feel sorry for them, and wish to aid them as much as I can.

Scouting the Gap of Rohan

Author:
Daellas and other Esquires and Riders of the Riddermark

After a long journey on foot a group of Esquires of the Riddermark have made their way from Bree to the Gap of Rohan. (See Chronicle: Paths of honor). Is the Gap safe to pass for our fellow Esquires residing in Bree? How can we aid the Rohirrim that are stationed there?

Journal entry page # 149 - Reaching the Gap of Rohan

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

We made it all the way to the Gap of Rohan. Yet the road was not without danger, but thanks to our skilled fellowship we have pulled through. Last time I wrote we were left off in Dunland under a Rock formation that gave us a little cover. The next morning I felt miserable, cold feet, wet gear, stiff neck. Our companion Leofmund was missing, he left a note warning we should head south quickly while he distracted patrols of dunlendings. After some hesitation we continued our road south.

We made it!
