Courage

Ode to Endurance

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Poetry
When darkness closes in
a bit too much
When it takes a step but doesn’t leave
I can join it, and it tells me
“You are not welcome in this world.”
When I notice it
a wave of joy washes over me.

I am still here.
It happens now way easier than before,
after a short delay.

I have never seen the light between leafs more clearly,
even hear them talk.

I had to suffer a lot, taken it in
but here I am
Still alive
and being a bit more of what I’ve always longed for.

Continuation of: Tales of Their Past - Fænge-Nædl

There was a chill in the night air as all the folk were returning to their homes. Many drunk from their drinking, and everyone else weary from their reveling. The dim lamps shone yellow upon the dirt paths and only two figures remained out that night. They stood side by side upon the path before the Mead hall, silent, still as statues.

The beginning of an end [2].

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Like a black, velvet blanket, the night sky lay draped over Eriador. Bright stars dotted it, causing patterns in the sky. Within a clearing in the middle of the forests to the North of the Shire, an Eldar maiden lay on her back in the soft grass, peering up at the constellations that guided her on many a journey through Middle Earth. She and her sister would often navigate by them, if travelling by night was the safest of options.
