"Ilmen is part of the atmosphere that surrounds Arda. The lower layer of that region of airs where the stars are, but also where the Sun and the Moon chart their course.They traverse the lower regions of Ilmen, and, being closer to us than the stars in Menel, outshine them. Us physical beings cannot survive the airs of Ilmen unaided, or so I heard. I also heard that the Straight Road traverses Ilmen and that is how Ships go to Valinor... but my time has not yet come to embark on such a journey"

"Fanyamar or the Cloudhome, is the upper layer of Vista, where clouds form before the world was changed. I remember the thick curtain-like clouds that covered the peaks of the Echoriath in Beleriand. In Eriador... perhaps only Hithaeglir is a distant reminder of that... I wonder what it would feel like to dive in them... oh by the way, doesn't that cloud look like a soaring eagle?"

 "Vista was the lowest layer of atmosphere that surrounded our world before it was inevitably changed after the cataclysm inflicted at the end of the Second age, so the legends say. And yet I ask myself, is it different now? Is it the same just now it is the wind that blows from the mountains? The wind took me to the land of stone, to Gondor. perhaps to tell me its story. But am I am right or am I wrong..."

 A tracker of the land is naught without a map, or skills with which to navigate. My father gifted this to me, and it has (sadly) remained in the cabinets of my home, for many a-year.
