Xbeus is involved with a deep storyline that is not lore-friendly at first as it is a long term role play project created for my daughter, myself and our friends. However his tale becomes bound by the lore later on as he must obey the laws of this world. It is based on a world where Final Fantasy and Lord of the Rings collide. Please respect this fact as our personal characters are completely lore-friendly and we only wish to honor the memory of John Ronald Reuel Tolkien with our tales of his beautifully detailed masterpiece as well as we play on the fact that the creators of Final Fantasy I & II had paid homage to Tolkien in subtle hints only fans of both worlds would notice. Examples include:

 -A troll who repeats, "Drums, drums in the deep

-There are rumors of blue wizards who departed long ago and never returned.

-In FFXI there is a blue mage class option

The list can go on but I think you get the picture. Thanks for reading, now please, enjoy the adventure and I hope you enjoy it as much I we all do. For those who prefer the true lore aspect of this great world you may skip ahead to the part titled, "A New Beginning" for that is where the Fantasy Finally ends and The Lord of the Rings begins.

The Beginning of the End

The World lies shrouded in darkness.

But the people believe in a prophecy, patiently awaiting its fulfillment.

"When darkness veils the world, four Warriors of Light shall come."

After a long journey, four young travellers did at last appear...
...and in the hand of each was clutched a crystal.

The Warriors of Light fought bravely & finally after a long journey & an epic adventure they discovered that the chaos was created by four fiends.
While exploring the strange depths of one of these beasts they came across a forgotten realm where they were magically transported from one area to the next through time & space. They overcame many puzzles and traps until they were transported to an oddly peaceful area.

They knew the place was special as they walked into the mysterious village as everyone who lived there was a mage or wizard. There were the healing white mages and their counterpart black mages as well as red mages, just like Xbeus. They decided to stay in this area for awhile since Xbeus wanted to research his people more closely and so the rest began to join him and they discovered that there was also another counterpart to the red mages. These people were known as the blue mages. Now a person who is called a mage is, by definition, a wise or learned person.

One of the eldest townspeople told them that when a mage becomes wise enough and powerful enough he undergoes a change of mind and becomes a wizard. He also told the Warriors of Light that the Blue wizards had left a long time ago and were never seen again. Xbeus took a keen interest in this tale as he nor his friends had ever heard of a blue mage or wizard before. It was common knowledge to have white wizards as well as black wizards but it was rare to become a red wizard as they were able to use both the healing magic of the white and the destructive power of the dark arts. What could a blue mage do then? and if it was a counterpart to the red's, what power did the blue wizards hold?

After learning all they could they bid farewell to the magi and left to finally to seek out the evil. They fought bravely and eventually defeated the fiends & restored the crystals to their former grace, restoring balance in the world. The elements of Air, Fire, Earth and water were once again at peace.

But not all the darkness had faded and they still had one last evil to face. This creature was known as the "Master of Time".

The four returned to the wilds and fought with more courage than ever before as they had all grown considerably since they first started out, especially Xbeus for he had become a Red Wizard. It didn't take long until they were face to face with their final foe.

The battle was hard fought and in it's final moments the Master of Time caused a rift. Now this didn't seem as dramatic as one would seem for they already had faced Chaos, a terrible entity who was able to loop time, but this was so much different and it seemed to be tearing them all apart, including the beast itself, until the rift pulled them all inside and everything went dark.

~A New Beginning~

He appeared in the land of Lindon which existed throughout the coming of Men and the 1st and 2nd Ages. He was a very mysterious individual whose first real friend's were that of Talagan Silvertongue and Elrond of Rivendell. He was adept at the arcane arts and ancient lore & wielded a strange power never before sensed by the Elves. This beacon of hope in those Dark times was what led him to gain the title "Warrior of Light". Talagan brought him to the refuge of Edhelion over 600 years ago where he bore witness to it's destruction.
