Tobiasz (Toby) grew up on the farm just outside Archet. His father Ozz would always regale him and his younger brother with stories of when he was a young man running free with an adventuring company. This was before meeting his mother Maisy and settling down to a farmer's life. The stories always had Toby daydreaming of one day having his own adventures. Toby was schooled by his mother in reading and writing as both his parents felt a man who could not read and write would always be at a disadvantage and they did not want people taking advantage of their son.

Toby worked the farm every day this is what helped him to bulk up and build strength. Toby had a dream of becoming an adventure. but lacked the martial skills so becoming a town guard was his way into adventuring.

Toby befriended another boy named Balaich (Blake) who was around his age. They struck up a friendship straight away as both boys seem to dream of an adventures life.  Soon a new face was seen around town girl name Cathriona (Cat). She was slightly younger than the two boys but was very bright. The three soon became the best of friends, Balaich the level-headed, Tobiasz the hot-headed and Cat the voice of reason. The three were inseparable away together.  It was during this time in Archet that they became known as The Mad Badger Crew.

As they grew older so they began to view the world in a different light and started to pursue other interests Blake his music, Cat the family business of jewellery making will Toby still dreaming of adventure, it was this that lead him to sign up for the town guard.
