The company come across the one they are seeking, an Elder of the Dunlendings who they refer to as their Spirit Walker. He informs them that if the spirits are willing he will offer what aid he can. The spirits demand that the company are tested. Thus they all follow the bidding of the Elder and fall into a dream like state after a small ritual involved with rubbing the backs of a large newt onto their chests.

Story

Through the white mountains Faorie rushed in search of the man with the black, blood stained armour – Thendryt. His tracks most times had already been blanketed with snow, but under ledges and through ruins the hoof prints of Bovad, his black steed, remained undisturbed.

For many hours Faorie searched. She dared not call to him, for her presence may lead him to disappear as he once did while on the path to Eregion.

We reached the Valley in good time. Lord Estarfin was more quiet than usual, perhaps contemplating the making of the sword he had been charged with crafting for our Lord Anglachelm. Close by the chalk path that leads to the Valley, we met a elf lady, a soldierly-type, by the name of Limiriel.
