A Final Letter?

Danel,

It was with great sorrow that I learned of your departure Westward. Sorrow, but not surprise. Ever since that night years ago in Mirkwood, I have been expecting this day. You told Belegos that you would not sail, that you would linger on beyond your time here. I think he believed you, perhaps you even convinced yourself? I am not gifted in the ways of seeing the truth of the hearts of others, but I could see that your heart was not in your proclamation.

The pillars of Music and Harp

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

It was a few of days after Vanimar’s meeting at the Pillar, a meeting that saw Lady Manadhlaer bestowed with the responsibility and office of Lady of the Pillar, an order no longer leadership. It had been heart-warming to see Manadhaler, humble and almost moved to tears, receive the insignia of her new office from the Lady Ambassador Tingruviel, acting upon Lord Anglachelm’s directive. Ealendil felt so proud and happy for her friend.

Himwen reminisced on the day they had found it... Carniquesse climbing on top of the rubble, as deftly as any Arrow, though with much more haste. Boy, she could be fast! It had glowed purple at first it seemed, but later turned red. Touching it had burned her hands and left her scarred for a long time thereafter. How it had been done... the curse... many a scholar were contemplating this and were still not entirely certain. Unlocking its potency had seemed to be important.

The whole house had been invited to the hall of the order of the Pillar to witness the inaugeration of the new leader. Lady Manadhlaer had been appointed by lord Anglachelm's decree, and read out loud by the Ambassador lady Tingruviel. Later that night, discussions have gone on about the latest expedition and which route they should take. Anglador, the star reader of the Pillar had drawn new charts for them and given them several options.
