            The riders from Harwick enter the town of Floodwend after a long trek across the Wold and are grateful that the gates open for them; after the tidings on the road that Floodwend might be barred to them, the welcome sight of the opening gates fills all hearts with relief.  The dozen riders reined up at the stables and dismounted, stable-hands taking their mounts and farriers seeing

My armguards felt stiff in the still chilly morning of Faldham, the leather was dry and in dire need of oil and grease. Summer had lovingly laid its warm arms around us all, but before the sun had risen, there was still a cold sensation that lingered in the air for some time while the sun still struggled to spread its warmth. I looked to my companion Yllfa who stood by my side, her hair a glittering gold in the morning light, and her attire fit and ready for the expedition ahead.

Home at last, or what I currently call my home… a small farm in Fenmarch, not even mine, but allowed to lease as a gratitude for services done to the mark. Sadly the end of the lease is near and I need to figure out what to do next. The desire to settle down and master my very own place, linger hard in my heart.

OATHS SWORN AT EORL'S HALLOW

Eduwiges of Faldham stood on the rocks before the hilly barrows of the small town that was her namesake. The wind blew from the north, over the spiked walls of Faldham, unsure whether the season was spring or winter. Eduwiges shivered, but not because of the wind. Grief and anger coursed through her veins as she watched the grass and symbelmyne flowers bend before the onslaught of the wind.
