The Precipice of Significant Change

Whenever Zurri's mind turned to his company of dwarves, both fear and guilt would root him to the spot. He dared not face them again, and spent numerous weeks in Bree-land tarrying, delaying the date that he would confront them. The dwarf presumed that his remaining companions still awaited him in the Chetwood, as Balthnar did say they would, but he could not be certain. Since the others left for Gondor things have been quiet here, I have been passing my time around The Thirsty Boar, looking for recruits, spending time with the rest of the company and of course Cedwyn and Averick. It’s a good life, one could not ask for more, unless that one was a fool.

I am getting to know Averick slowly. He’s a very intelligent and pleasant boy. He took after his mother. I finally met Rickstan, briefly but met him and we spoke of this and of that. In the end he suggested Averick stays with us for some time.
