Parnard

Letter addressed to Parnard of the Vanimar

Official Document

Friend Parnard,

I was greatly honoured to receive word from you and to answer simply; the Warband will be ready to fight alongside you as soon as you require.

Your words encapsulate precisely my own feelings that as two forces gathered within Imladris it makes perfect sense that we unite in missions against our common enemies. I have spoken previously with your Lord about my own desire to do this.

She hummed an old song to herself as she cleaned her tools, her mind far away from the tedious and repetitive work. Already the steel smithing hammers lay spotless and shining upon a red cloth sheet although the pile of filthy tongs on the hessian sack still lurked in the corner of her eye. She sighed softly as she looked at them, cleaning the first pair of tongs with an increasingly grubby cloth almost absent-mindedly. A sudden knock upon the door startled Ruineth from her thoughts and she let out a muttered curse as she dropped the tongs onto the wooden table.

Waiting Is Vanity

The crystal phial flashed brilliantly as it caught the rays of the mid-day sun streaming through the open window. He rolled the half-empty container between the fingers and thumb of his right hand, his left sitting motionless in his lap. The dull amber liquid within the glass tube flowed lazily as he moved it, the contents seeming to match his mood as he sat near to the open window. The fresh winds of the Valley pushed the lank hair from his face and carried with it the sweet scents of honeysuckle and jasmine, yet it stirred nothing in him.

A Second Report to Tur Elisbeth

Story

Tur Elisbeth-

Since my last report to you, I ventured back up into the Hithaeglir, this time alone, since Thendryt had business elsewhere.  I sighted the Guaradan I spoke of in the first report again-this makes the third time I have seen this creature.  I also discovered another unnaturally large giant, down in the Giant Halls.  And I found the beast that rumor has spoken of.   It is an unnaturally large snow beast, many times the size of a regular beast.

Brewing Blackstar

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

”Blackstar can be used purely for enjoyment, and is generally safe for adults in that matter, but it can also be used for medicinal purpose. It lowers anxiety, speeds up recovery and slows the weakening of body from inactivity in general. Whoever drinks it will get a sensation of warmth, and makes them feel more content.”

A little mistake

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

Laurelindo left Estarfin's rooms as another healer arrived. He went straightaway to replace the stock of rapidly diminishing draughts and salves. However, he was momentarily distracted while working, a mistake even healers in-training knew the danger of, and what was bound to happen, happened. He cut his finger on the jagged edge of one of the vials of sleeping draught.

"When did I break it ?"

Trying Times

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story
Talkale strode back and forth frantically, his usually immaculate hair looking untidy where he had been running a hand through it. He occasionally took a sip from a crystal glass containing deep red wine. His robes made a faint rasping sound as the silks ran over each other as he moved. His movements ceased when his companion finally spoke.

The Nature of Winter

What kind of Adventure is this?:
Story

The snow white petals of her royal roses cuddled the tip of her nose as she inhaled their lofty scent. These had always stood apart from their more colorful brethren - not as heady in scent, but still retaining the elegant integrity of the rose. Danel's instructions on the scents of Thargelion came in good time, just as the edges of her lavenders and herbs began to crisp and dry.
