Dear Diary,

Traveling with these dwarves makes me miss my life from before. I've been living with Men for so long now that I've forgotten how much I love the company of dwarves.

We're nearly halfway to Erebor now. Only had a few problems along the way. Fjalvari has taken to watching out for me. I think I remind him of someone.

Nope, still getting used to writing that.

I have been putting off writing, but Fjalvari (the dwarf who gave me this journal), insisted that I "put my thoughts on paper." I think he is just worried about me. He reminds me a lot of my oldest brother in that regard.
