Chronicle Content

Author's notes:

(We are a small group of friends who have been playing and writing together for over thirteen years. We have no associated kin, although some are in Enyalie and contributors are in whatever kin they want, or in no kin.)

The majority of stories are derived from in game RP and are uploaded in chronological order. A few are done through discussion and exchange of ideas.

All tales are in pre-Fellowship of the Ring times. We have set no specific date, but are assuming it is around 5-10 years before the Fellowship leaves Imladris. A lot is already in motion, and certain folk are well aware of growing trouble in the East. But as yet there is no outright War.

Those tales with the prefix 'Wanderings' are older stories from almost four years ago, just involving Estarfin and Danel. Some of these are only recently written up. There are also several backstories from both Estarfin and Danel which mostly take place in the First Age. Leaving Thargelion , Memories of Doriath, and First Encounter being a few.

Many of the pictures have shorter stories attached to them.

Concerning languages, both Danel and Estarfin were raised with Quenya / Exilic Quenya as their native tongue. They both 'think' in Quenya, and tend to speak it, or a remembered version of it, when talking just with each other. When in any company they usually speak in Sindarin.

Chronicle content:

There is no return to the place where the Elves first awoke, for the lands have changed. But that first sense of awe at what their eyes beheld can in some ways be achieved. Now wed, Danel and Estarfin set about making a home that will endure as long as Elves endure in Middle Earth. They are aware of growing troubles in the East, and that many of their folk are departing for the Undying Lands. There are some unexpected encounters, and a hint that Cuivienan may be visiting them. And lingering in their pasts are the still present memories of the Kinslayings.

Meanwhile, Parnard encounters folk with some insights into his past that he wasn't aware of.

List of Main Characters:

Danel of Thargelion

Estarfin of Thargelion

Parnard of the Greenwood

Belegos of Gondolin

Filignil of Himlad

Culufinnel of the Greenwood

Yrill of Eregion

Ceuro (Unknown)

Marawendi of the Greenwood

Fearane of Forlond

Aearlinn of Celondim (Deceased)

Barahiirn of Forlond.

They now have a small household of Elves, some local, some from distant places long done. Numenstaya is not meant to be a large military base, but a place of refuge for the weary for whatever reason. The Housekeeper, Filignil, is an experienced cook and huntress, hailing from as far back as the folk of Celegorm. Yrill was a student of Danel's in Eregion. Ceuro has no memory of what he was before the Battle of the Last Alliance.

A little further afield, they are sometimes visited by the healer, Curumaito, or the Captain of Celondim Guards, Culufinnel. (Who happens to be Parnard's brother.)

The Hobbits

Oddly enough, some of the Elves have made the acquaintance of a few of the Bounders of Tighfield. Their home is located rather close to the border between Ered Luin and Yondershire, and on occasions they travel through the lands of the Halflings, careful not to interfere. However, on one such journey they were attacked by a group of brigands, close to Tighfield, and dispatched them swiftly. This led to them encountering Tolbold Tatersfield, the assistant Deputy Shiriff, and his loyal team. Though the Elves offer the Halflings no advice, they watch over them from a distance, and have become fond of them due mostly to their love and care for the land.

The Avari

A recent encounter with a solitary scout of an Avari clan, Elunwe, has opened the groups eyes to future possibilities. They have learned that three Scouts  have been sent out from the lands East of Rhun, to find out what the Western Elves are planning. Will the Noldor, Sindar, and Nandor leave or stay? Are the Avari to be left alone again to deal with whatever new darkness descends? Initially thinking it is of no concern to them, Estarfin, Danel, and Parnard were impressed by Elunwe, and are considering their response.

The Enemies

They have the same 'usual' enemies as any elf; orcs, goblins and trolls. But more personally they consider a group of Breeland brigands (who murdered one of their number) as enemies, and the group of corsairs and their sorceress, who planned the abduction of Danel and Parnard. And anyone connected with Sauron, of course.
